Recently, D&M Contractors successfully delivered a complex and highly technical package of works within the cellar of the Coach & Horses.
This project required detailed planning, precise execution, and strict adherence to safe working practices — and we’re proud of the way our team delivered from start to finish. A special mention goes to Rhett Sherrin-Miller, Richard Hemming, and their team of engineers for their professionalism and expertise throughout.
The scope of works involved carrying out structural repairs to the cellar, including the installation of structural props to safely support the existing archway. This temporary support system enabled the controlled construction of new load-bearing blockwork, ensuring the long-term structural integrity of the space.
Working within a confined environment added further complexity. From managing ventilation and restricted access routes to maintaining safe working distances and ensuring continuous safe egress, the team navigated every challenge with precision and care.
The result? A safer, stronger cellar structure — delivered safely, professionally, and to a high standard.
